Blue Earth Alliance board members are selected for their diverse expertise and commitment to furthering the mission of Blue Earth Alliance. The board is assisted by a select group of advisory board members.

  • Heather Dwyer
    Heather Dwyer

    A dedicated arts advocate, Heather has worked as an administrator for not-for-profit organizations, government agencies and private corporations including: 4Culture, Washington Lawyers for the Arts, Jack Straw Productions, Artist Trust, Bank of America Art Programs and Seattle’s Office of Arts and Cultural Affairs. She holds an MFA from California Institute of Arts.

    Carey Evenson

    Carey is a public relations professional who thrives on putting her passion for environmental and social issues to work for her many clients. Her deep respect for nature was formed growing up in Alaska, where she learned the principles of "leave no trace." She strives to put that ideal into practice at work, at play, and in her work on behalf of Blue Earth Alliance.

    Heather Joy Helbach-Olds

    Heather is the Director of Programs at Artist Trust, a non-profit organization that provides grants and information services to artists of all disciplines throughout Washington State. Heather oversees all of Artist Trust’s grant programs and the EDGE professional development program. Heather is also a practicing visual artist.     Chase Jarvis, Vice President

    A sports, lifestyle, and pop culture photographer, Chase has been working with corporate clients like Vulcan, Volvo, Nike, Microsoft, Columbia Sportswear, REI, Patagonia, and Jeep.     Charles Mauzy

    Charles has more than 30 years experience in global alliance development and visual communications.   • Larry Ockene
    Larry Ockene, President

    Larry has over 25 years experience in the computer industry, and has led projects in computer graphics, audio processing, speech recognition, telephony and e-commerce. He currently manages a group at Microsoft that is addressing the needs of serious photographers. Larry holds a certificate in fine art photography from the Photographic Center Northwest.

  • Dorothy Rissman
    Dorothy Rissman

    Dorothy is a successful artist with works in museum and corporate collections. She worked for many years in program development and administration for non-profits including: The Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation, Scottsdale, AZ as Director of Tours and Volunteers; Shemer Art Center and Museum, Phoenix, AZ as Curator and Exhibition Coordinator; and Washington Lawyers for the Arts as Director.

  • Pam Roberson
    Pam Roberson

    Pam has been a professional photographer for over 30 years. Work and travels have taken her to over 70 countries with a particular focus on wilderness locations and spiritual traditions. In addition to editorial assignments for books and magazines, her art prints have been exhibited in numerous galleries, and she is in demand as an inspirational workshop and college instructor. Pam founded three multimedia businesses and currently runs her own photo business, Clear Light Photography. Pam is represented by Digital Railroad.

  • Peter Speyer
    Peter Speyer

    Peter is currently Marketing Director at Corbis and has worked in strategy and marketing positions in media and tourism for global companies like Bertelsmann and Thomas Cook. He is intrigued by the interdependence of art and commerce in media and particularly interested in leveraging the power of visual communication for business and cause work. Peter holds an MBA from Temple University and an M.Sc. from Karlsruhe University. Originally from Germany, he is an avid traveler and loves to explore the outdoors in the Pacific Northwest with his family.

  • Nadine Stellavato
    Nadine Stellavato, Treasurer

    Lost Luggage co-owner Nadine Stellavato is also the design and marketing director for Brand Envy, the branding division of Lost Luggage. Born in Los Angeles, she moved to San Francisco to attend California College of Arts and Crafts, from which she received a BFA degree in Graphic Design in 1995. An award-winning graphic designer, Nadine has garnered many awards including the AR 100, 14th; AR100, 13th; AR100, 12th; Mead Annual Report Show, 31st Annual West Coast Show; Potlatch 1996 Show; Studio Magazine Award; Creativity, Inc.; Supon Design Group; San Francisco Show, 11; Step by Step; Graphic Design USA; and Prints Digital Art & Design.

  • Adam L. Weintraub
    Adam L. Weintraub, Secretary

    Adam is a Seattle-based freelance photographer often found collaborating with artists and photographing promotionally within the arts community. He is involved in the recuperation and permanent collection of the Martín Chambi Archives in Cusco, Peru where he owns and operates Photoexperience.net, full-immersion photographic workshops, in collaboration with the Photographic Center Northwest.     Rachel Dodson

    Rachel works as the Program Manager in Blue Earth Alliance’s office in Seattle. She graduated cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania with a degree in diplomatic history and coursework in black and white and color photography. Previously she has worked with several non-profits, including the Internationalist Magazine, the Museum of Jewish Heritage, and the National Constitution Center.
