Blue Earth September Fundraising! Online Fund Drive September 2009 Blue Earth needs your help this fall. As a membership-based organization, we rely primarily on individual support to achieve our mission of educating about important social, cultural and environmental issues through photography. Your support will decide whether our work will continue into next year. This year, we have increased our number of sponsored projects to over 30, and have undertaken an ambitious schedule of lectures, partnerships, and exhibits. Through these activities, we have succeeded in bringing the issues documented by our project photographers to a wider audience. But we cannot continue this good work without your support, so we ask for your contribution to this year's fund drive. Blue Earth Bash - Sponsored by Glazer's Camera Thursday, September 24, 6:00 PM Once again, we’re able to report another great event! Last night’s block party was a hit with the crowds – great food, great music, and world-class photographers taking fun portraits all night long. Once again, our sincere thanks to Glazer's Camera for hosting. Despite the evening’s success, we’re still a long way from our fundraising goal this September. Blue Earth Annual Dinner - At Matt's in the Market Sunday, September 20, 6:00 PM Our annual dinner at Seattle hotspot Matt's in the Market, featuring a gourmet, four-course feast benefiting Blue Earth, was a great success! Friends and supporters of Blue Earth helped us raise almost $13,000 to enable us to continue our work educating the public about critical issues through photography. But we haven't reached our fundraising goal. Join us at the Bash! and push us over the top! Ansel Adams Gallery / Blue Earth Exhibit Opening Saturday, September 19 Blue Earth is thrilled to partner with the legendary Ansel Adams Gallery to host a new exhibition at the Mumm Winery in Napa, California from September 2009 – March 2010. The exhibit features images from Blue Earth projects, including work by Annie Marie Musselman, Daniel Beltrá, Rebecca Norris Webb, Florian Schulz, Benjamin Drummond & Sara Joy Steele, Camille Seaman, Stephen Harrison, and John Trotter, as well as a lecture series.
